The technology is designed to improve power quality conditions of every electrical network as well as enhance the physical operation of all the electric motors and the electronic devices utilized in every facility. EndoTherm™ and EndoCool™ are energy saving additives for hydronic heating and chilled systems (non-potable) which are proven to reduce energy consumption (electricity or gas) by 10-15%. They work by reducing the surface tension of the system water which improves heat transfer, creating a condition that is optimal for efficiency gains in HVAC/R systems. Buildings hit temperature set-points quicker and systems are required to run less frequently to maintain temperatures, saving  significant amounts of energy.

Most HVAC/R systems use water or a glycol/water mixture as a heat transfer medium to provide either heating or cooling to a building. Water is used because it is cost effective and readily available, however it is not the most efficient transporter of heat due to its high surface tension.

When added to system water, EndoTherm™ and EndoCool™ improve the heat transfer characteristics of the fluid which allows more heat to be delivered or exhausted from the building, thus reducing overall heating and cooling costs and CO2 emissions.

Water has a high surface tension caused by Hydrogen bonding. A water molecule can form 4 hydrogen bonds with 4 other water molecules. A Hydrogen bond in water is the electrostatic attraction between a Hydrogen (H) atom and an Oxygen atom that hasn't already covalently bonded. This gives water a high surface tension compared with other liquids. EndoCool™ and EndoTherm™ reduce water tension by up to 60%.
